Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India, located northwest of Ajmer. This serene and tranquil city is a favored destination for thousands of tourists and devotees visiting Rajasthan. Perched at an elevation of 510 meters, Pushkar is embraced by hillocks on three sides.
Renowned as the ‘Rose Garden of Rajasthan,’ Pushkar is famous for its roses, whose essence is exported worldwide. According to ancient legends, Lord Brahma, regarded as the creator of the universe, dropped a lotus flower to the ground, leading to the miraculous creation of a lake. The town encircles this sacred lake, believed to have appeared where the lotus flower fell.
Pushkar is also home to one of the world’s rare Brahma temples, making it a significant spiritual and cultural hub.
