Attractions

The Dabhai Kund
Also known as the "Jail Kund,"this is the largest of the stepwells in Bundi. Though slightly overgrown, it is worth visiting for the stunning carvings on the steps that descend to the water level.

Naval Sagar Lake - 18th Century
As you enter the town, this square artificial lake catches your eye. Visible from the fort and palace, it features a half-submerged temple dedicated to Varuna, the Aryan god of water. The lake's waters beautifully reflect the old city, fort, and palace.

Raniji ki Baori
Built in 1699 by Queen Nathavati Ji during her son Budh Singh's reign, this multi-storied stepwell is adorned with intricately sculpted pillars and arches. It also features places of worship on each floor.

Taragarh Fort
Known as the "Star Fort," it is one of Bundi's most impressive structures. Built in AD 1354 on a steep hillside, the fort houses the Bhim Burj bastion from the 16th century, which once mounted the colossal cannon called "Garbh Gunjam" or "Thunder from the Womb."

Kesharbagh - 16th Century
This final resting place of Bundi's kings and queens showcases stunning cenotaphs crafted from fine yellow sandstone and marble, reflecting the town’s architectural elegance.

Rock Paintings
A few kilometers from Bundi, these caves feature Mesolithic-era paintings. They depict scenes of hunting, daily life, and dancing postures, alongside animals such as bison, deer, and tigers. The Gararda painting, estimated to be 5,000 years old, is a testament to the early human settlements in the Hadoti region.

Bhimlat Waterfall
Located 30 km from Bundi, this stunning waterfall cascades 60 meters into a deep pool and offers breathtaking natural beauty. Spread over an area of 6 km, it is a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts.

Keshorai Patan
Situated 45 km from Bundi, this magnificent temple on the banks of the Chambal River was built around 1641. Its scalloped top gleams in the morning sun, casting a golden reflection on the rippling waters of the river.
